Welcome to LPR Guitarworks!
My name is Lars Rademacher, and I am the proprietor. My shop is located in Portland, Oregon, but I do work for people from all over the world. I started playing at an early age and have been fascinated with guitars ever since. I was a carpenter by trade when I first started out so it was a natural progression to move to learning the craft and art of being a luthier.
I trained under Dave Rusan, of Rusan Guitarworks in Bloomington, MN for 7 years before moving to Portland in 2010. Dave was the original builder of the Prince "Cloud" guitar that is now housed in the Smithsonian and during my time working with Dave I had the pleasure of helping build several reproduction cloud guitars and also worked with clients such as Brian Setzer, Sheryl Crow, Joey Mullen and more!
I love all kinds of music and work on both electric and acoustic guitars in addition to other stringed instruments and would be happy to sit down with you and see how I can help build or repair your guitars to help them play the best they ever have!
